Destination - Belgium

Close your eyes and imagine with me. Smell the sweet bitter unmistakable aromas in the air. Notice your tongue beginning to salivate and your mood beginning to lift. Today we have a very special treat in store for you. A true delight for the senses.

Open your eyes and let's go to Belgium!! We are going to self indulge the decadent way with Kelly from DesignTies.

While here there were two foods we have to try—Belgian fries and Belgian chocolate. The fries are good. The chocolate… BEYOND good!!!!

We'll try dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate… pralines, solid chocolates, striped chocolates, and chocolates filled with more chocolate…chocolates shaped like shells and swans and horses and cats…

When we've eaten the whole city gotten enough we'll switch it up with a different type of treat. It's macarons of all different colors. Absolutely beautiful. The prefect end to our chocolate comas.

Be sure to click on over to Kelly's blog, today she is also taking you on a trip to Italy!!

***Update: In the comment section Little Nut Tree wrote, "Yes Belgian chocolate is yummy, and there's even more to the country than that." We totally agree with you Little Nut Tree, if you or anyone else has any more information about Belgium I would be happy to write another post!! Just fill out this form and send the info my way :)

  1. I grew up in Belgium! (and also briefly in Italy, as it happens) Yes Belgian chocolate is yummy, and there's even more to the country than that. For example, did you know that the guy who invented the saxophone (Adolphe Sax) was Belgian?

  2. Thanks Katie!!

Belgium is such a wonderful place -- like Little Nut Tree said, there's a lot more to Belgium than the chocolate. Beautiful landscape and architecture and lots of history.... but when you think of Belgium, the first thing that comes to mind is chocolate!! Yum!!

  7. I'm off to check it out. Belgium sounds wonderful. Who can argue with chocolate and fries? I thought it was the french who were famous for those though! I guess I'll find out.

I didn't know what TTB meant.

Disclamer:

I am not a world traveler, researcher, writer or photographer. I have never been to most of the places I write about. I basically copy and past the information that people submit to me. All copyright is to remain with the featured blogger.

I can't guarantee that all information is accurate or up to date. As some experiences have happened in the past with some memories and emotions mixed in.

My posts are short and sweet, I can only give you a small glimpse inside the featured place. Knowing there is much more to a place than a few paragraphs, I will write about the same place multiple times if anyone would like to submit their view on it as well.
