Let's travel to Minnesota today! In the southwest suburb of Minneapolis there is a town that was rated "8th Best Small Town in America" last year. It has great schools, trails, parks...people. It's the home of Becky from Farmgirl Paints.Our stops are Ikea,
Stillwater, Excelsior and The General Store in Minnetonka. Don't you just love those carts at Ikea, they should make those mandatory for everywhere else. And that quaint little town of Stillwater. Becky's favorite part was the chicken in rice soup at Leo's...yummy:) What would be yours?
You are going to love the bright refreshing guest room Becky has for us to stay in. It's a cozy haven... our own little retreat. I am totally loving that shelf with the welcoming HOME sign.And see that gorgeous bench? It's actually a church pew Becky got at a garage sale for $60.00. It was plain white and chipped up, so she sanded, primed, painted and then distressed it a little. It fits this this long hallway perfectly!

While we are in Utah
Kimi asked us to stop by her childhood home of Hurricane. Living in Fl I know a bit about hurricanes but I must say this town is unfamiliar territory to me. Unlike it's name it's quite calm. The people here are authentic and friendly. There are lots of outdoor activities around such as hiking in Zion National Park, fishing, camping, riding 4-wheelers. If you are a horseman there is hardly a weekend that passes without a barrel race or jackpot roping.
Okay maybe it's not so unfamiliar. This swimming pool sure takes me back. I got my first 'kiss' in one of these (from a cousin even). Think we can all fit in the water? Last one in is a rotten egg!!
After an exhilarating game of Marco Polo lets stop by
Fort Pierce, find a wash to shoot the 22, and hit the dinosaur tracks. And of course we must pick up a
few new pets while we are out. Aren't they so cute??

Happy 4th of July fellow Blog Travelers!! Welcome to Eagar Arizona, home of the late GG and my childhood Independence Days. Eagar is a small Americana town, full of pine trees and deer. This morning we are going to the annual 4th of July parade. Kids get your bags ready, candy will be thrown out shortly. Parents be sure to cover those little ears - here come the firetrucks!!
I'm a sucker for a good fireworks show. Eager has the best ever. The sound is intense and exciting as it echoes off the mountains. Shot off from the middle of a lake the reflections are amazing, like seeing twice as many colorful dancing fireflies.Moving on to other insects you may have noticed the thousands of dragonflies and grasshoppers. In GG's yard along you couldn't take one step without seeing a handful of the silly things fly away. Next stop the neighbors farm. They have some really cute Emu (maybe they eat the bugs?).
Lastly no trip to Eagar can't be complete without taking a ride to another town that holds a special place in my heart - Greer. My dad,
grandpa and I would drive out there to look around and enjoy the view. The houses are HUGE and beautiful while the cabins are picture perfect. There is a river running all through the town - so relaxing, like a secret garden type of getaway.

Congratulations we've arrived at our first destination. Welcome to Pindale, Wyoming the home of Kimi, her favorite place in the world. Look out the windows and enjoy the view. Be sure to bundle up and watch for Moose and Elk as you head outside.But don't worry we are very safe. People here are trustworthy, you don't have to lock your car to go shopping. And shopping... well... there is no McDonald's, no Blockbuster, no Walmart. All the shopping is very Mom and Pop. Cashiers and Postal Clerks know you and treat you like a friend. Sounds like the perfect place to get a souvenir!
Pinedale is a small town at the base of three mountain ranges. They have skiing, hiking, tons of lakes, and oodles of wildlife. It's basically gorgeous here. Snow and mountain, I could stay here forever, have room for two more Kimi? No, well fine then! How about a sunny
picnic before we go.
